Our ‘ohoro GIN (standard)’ (hereafter referred to as ‘ohoro standard’)
received a double gold award at the International Spirits Challenge 2024(hereafter referred to as ‘ISC2024’),
one of the world’s three major alcoholic beverage competitions.

ISC2024 is an international spirits competition held once a year by Drinks International,
UK-based magazine specializing in the world’s alcoholic beverages.
It is one of the world’s three most prestigious competitions for alcoholic beverages,
along with the International Wine&Spirit Competition (IWSC) and
the San Francisco World Spirits Competition (SFWSC).
Thousands of spirits from 70 countries are entered and strictly judged in blind tastings.
Awards are given in 29 categories, including whisky, gin, brandy and rum,
with double gold, gold, silver, and bronze awards given in each category.
Then, on the day of the awards ceremony, a ‘Trophy’ will be selected from the Double Gold winners in each category.
This time, ‘ohoro standard’ won the Double Gold in the Gin category and the London Dry Gin category.

The seasonal product ‘ohoro GIN Limited Edition Lavender’ was also awarded Gold in the Modern Gin category at this year’s ISC 2024.

The judges commented on the ‘ohoro standard said,
‘It has a well-balanced flavor with a good body and lingering aftertaste.
The taste is smooth and is maintained even with added water.’
Mr. Kakumoto, Director of Production, said,
‘We are very surprised to receive such a prestigious award following the WGA 2024 World’s Best Award in February of this year, and we feel that we are truly recognized by many people.
We are very pleased with the recognition.’

The distillery staff is very honored to receive the award at the international competitions and
is very encouraged by this. We will strive to produce even higher quality products to the people of Niseko,
both in Japan and overseas, as well as to our local community, and all of us at Niseko Distillery will continue to work as one to live up to this honor.
